There are federal prisoners being held in county jails around this country on terrorism charges and who have most probably NOT killed anyone, and this Nidal Malik Hasan character is being charged with premeditated murder??
Former FBI Director William Webster was appointed Tuesday to conduct an independent investigation of how the bureau developed and shared information about the man charged in the Fort Hood rampage.

“We must be sure that the systems we have in place give investigators the tools they need to carry out their responsibilities,” Mueller said in announcing Webster’s appointment.
“At the same time, we must ensure constitutional protections and the confidence of the American public we serve,” he said.
The Army and the Pentagon also are investigating the handling of intelligence about Hasan before the shooting.
Webster, a former CIA director and federal judge, “is exceptionally qualified to lead the investigation” into the FBI’s monitoring of Hasan, said Rep. Lamar Smith of San Antonio, the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee.
Webster’s law office referred all questions to the FBI.
Hasan, 39, has been charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder in the Nov. 5 deaths at Fort Hood. He faces an additional 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
